Yo Rhos, I got a lot of ideas for another pack (free or paid your choice) My idea pack could be something called "Boardgame Classics" or something like that! In it there would be the categories "Chess, Dominoes, Checkers, (maybe even Jenga), etc. And in the categories (for example chess, would have the chess pieces and maybe the gameboard! I think it would take a bit but would be really cool if you made something along those lines! (If you want you can credit me but you don't AT ALL need too :)

sure! I make the shapes using a combination of mostly the pen, pathfinder, marquee and ellipse tools. Colours are chosen based on a good understanding of colour theory, and since they need to be readable at a small size, I make sure there's lots of contrast between important sections. Then the outline is done with an Offset Path :)

I've been trying to make a game but I can't afford anything :(
Illustrator has a 7-day free trial, otherwise I recommend Inkscape.
Instead, for the engine take a look at Godot, it is opensource and not too difficult to learn.
